BIO

Steven Torres was born on April 22, 1992, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. In his early twenties, he was diagnosed with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, a life-changing experience that deepened his passion for storytelling and representation. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Office Systems Management from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated Cum Laude.

Steven is the author of Farewell to Forever, his debut self-published romance novel, and the beginning of his journey toward a full-time writing career. Through his work, he aims to amplify the voices of underrepresented minorities and bring to life main characters rarely seen in traditional publishing. His stories are grounded in authenticity, driven by empathy, and fueled by the belief that everyone deserves to see themselves in the pages of a book.

Farewell to Forever is a love story that centers on Madison, a young woman who becomes a paraplegic after a life-altering event. In the wake of unimaginable grief, she meets Benson—someone who reminds her that life doesn't end after trauma, and that love can flourish in the most unexpected places.

This story is about more than romance. It's about resilience, found family, and the quiet power of healing. It's about navigating identity after loss, and embracing what comes next—even when what comes next is uncertain.

.

Life can change in the blink of an eye, and for Madison, it did. One moment altered her world forever, leaving her to grapple with the grief and loss that now define her days. As she navigates this new reality, the weight of that tragic moment is a constant companion. But amidst the turmoil, an unexpected encounter with Benson shows Madison that there’s more to existence than the events that shape us. Through their growing bond, Madison begins to discover the beauty and possibilities that still lie ahead.

Farewell to Forever is a beautiful romance about unconditional love, grief, found family, friendship, self-discovery, and letting go of the things we can't control.

Synopsis

Representation Matters

The publishing industry—and the romance genre in particular—still severely lacks authentic representation of people with disabilities. Farewell to Forever helps fill that gap, giving voice to a character whose story is rarely seen on bookstore shelves. By including disabled protagonists in mainstream narratives, we not only reflect the diversity of real life, but we open doors for readers in a deeply underserved and often overlooked community.
